To all........

In some ways....I feel that I've taken the trip with you. However, I wasn't taking it in any discomfort as I'm sure you've had.

I appreciate all that you have been able to do and after reading one of the notes today about how Jesus came among us in all our filth and dirt, I had a new appreciation for HIM and what he has done for all of us.

Thank you for all that you've done for these precious ones.

Take care.
Prayers are still with you.

Hey all!
I so miss you 8! Claude, Frances and I missed our connection in Addis Ababa because the Nairobi flight left late. We ended up staying an extra day and night and thoroughly enjoyed touring Addis. We were able to walk on the dirt road in front of our guest quarters and saw a woman washing her hair in a trickle of water flowing down the street's edge. Homes were of corrugated metal, as in Mathare Valley. I just wasn't prepared for crude dwellings there.

Be prepared to crash and burn when you return. I am surprised that I am not the person who left Lynchburg on the 1st of July. I thank God for my circumstances in the U.S. but constantly visit and re-visit those precious loving faces of Mercy Care. I pray that you don't have a teary return and feelings of helplessness.

Know that you all have enriched my life in many wonderful ways.
Be safe and know that I love you all.
