July 3rd... First Visit to the MCC

From the Browns:
It was special to see Mathare Valley through “first time” visitors. The children and teachers were excited to see us and performed a two hour program of songs and poetry. What a wonderful delight. One bag was missing and it had some very important things in it so we hope it comes on the plane tomorrow. Our group is great and working so well together.

From the Greenes:
What a wonderful day we have had today! We have been blessed so much! The pictures are worth a million words…but they still don’t adequately describe the experience of being here.

From Purnell:

Please pray for the BEAUTIFUL people of the Mercy Care Centre! To see Mathare Valley, which has 850,000 people per two square miles, makes me ashamed of ever wanting a thing in my world of bounty. Mercy Care School has 400 students- all eager to learn and happy to be in school. Visiting them today was truly an honor. Never have I seen bigger grins (theirs)!
